What Medical Specialties does to help our customers meet Standard EC.12.1:

• MSD, as a medical equipment distributor, is required by federal law to maintain tracking data on all rental medical equipment.  MSD has maintained complete manufacturer, model, and serial number data on all equipment rented, sold, and serviced since the company started in 1984.  In addition, MSD's service software keeps a permanent record of all preventive maintenance and service performed both on MSD-owned and on customer-owned equipment.
• MSD offers asset management software, MultiTrack2, which allows customers to perform device tracking on their own equipment.  It also interacts with MSD's operating software to allow a customer to know when a rental or customer-owned pump is in transit to or from MSD.  MultiTrack2 also allows multi-branch customer accounts to keep track of equipment as it is shipped to and from branch locations, when and where it is assigned to patients, and when a device is retired from service.
