Jim Beck,
Director
|
|
Jim Beck
joined MSD in January of 2007 as President and
Chief Executive Officer. He has over 30 years of
healthcare service and distribution general
management experience.
|
|
Prior to
joining MSD, Mr. Beck has held various general
management positions with American Hospital
Supply/Baxter Healthcare, AMSCO International,
Spectrum Healthcare, and SHPS Health Management
Solutions. At American Hospital Supply/Baxter
Healthcare, Mr. Beck was EVP Eastern Zone -
Distribution Division, a $1B medical surgical
distribution business; at AMSCO, President and COO
of AMSCO Sterile Recoveries; and at Spectrum,
EVP/COO of Spectrum Healthcare's Emergency Medicine
business.

Most
recently, he was SVP SHPS Health Management
Solutions, a market leader providing a single
comprehensive source of health management decision
guidance. Mr. Beck received his B.S. in Finance
from Valparaiso University and his MBA in
Operations Research from Loyola University of
Chicago.

Jim Connelly,
Partner
|
|
Jim Connelly is one of the
co-founding partners of Water Street Healthcare
Partners, a leading private equity firm focused
exclusively on health care. With more than $1
billion of capital under management, Water Street
is one of the most active investors in the health
care industry. Jim has more than 30 years of
experience leading health care businesses. He has
directed some of the industrys largest and
most successful acquisitions, divestitures and
business development initiatives.

As president and CEO of
Caremark International, Jim helped build the
company into a $3 billion global healthcare
services corporation. Previously, he led
Baxters multi-billion dollar medical supply
distribution businesses during his tenure as the
companys corporate officer and group
executive. Jim also served as corporate vice
president of American Hospital Supply Corporation,
and president and chief operating officer of USF
Corporation.

Following his successful
years of leading major health care companies, Jim
entered the private equity business. He worked with
the Water Street Team at One Equity Partners, the
$5.5 billion investment arm of JP Morgan Chase.
|
|
Jim currently serves as the
chairman of Physiotherapy Associates, and as a
director of Access MediQuip, ConVerge Diagnostics,
and PLUS Diagnostics. He also served on the boards
of directors of Caremark International, USF
Corporation and Boise Cascade Office
Products.
|
|
Active in the community,
Jim donates his time and expertise as chairman of
The Cradle, one of the nations foremost
adoption agencies. He previously served as a
director of the United Way of Lake County and
Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan,
Illinois.
|
|
Jim received his
bachelors degree from the University of
Virginia and his masters degree in business
administration from the University of South
Carolina.

Rob Womsley,
Partner
|
|
Rob Womsley is a partner
with Water Street Healthcare Partners, a leading
private equity firm focused exclusively on health
care. With more than $1 billion of capital under
management, Water Street is one of the most active
investors in the health care industry.
|
|
Rob has more than 20 years
of global private equity and investment experience.
Prior to joining Water Street, he was a senior
partner with Citi Private Equity, which managed
more than $13 billion of direct private equity and
mezzanine investments globally. As head of European
and Emerging Market operations, Robert led Citi
Private Equity to complete more than $1 billion of
direct investments across a variety of industries
and geographies.

Previously, Rob was global
head of Citis Private Equity Placement Group,
where he advised on and raised over $3.5B in
private equity, mezzanine debt and PIPEs capital
for Citis clients globally. He also served as
a managing director in Citis Sponsor Coverage
group and the Chicago Investment Banking group.
|
|
Rob has served on the board
of directors of Visma and the advisory boards of
CVC Capital Partners, Terra Firma and DN
Capital.
|
|
He received his
bachelors degree from Vanderbilt University,
and his masters degree in business
administration from the University of Chicago
Graduate School of Business.

John Arnott, Executive
Advisor
|
|
John Arnott has more than
20 years experience building and leading global
healthcare organizations. He recently served
as the Executive Chairman of Sierra Scientific
Instruments, the leading provider of specialty
diagnostic devices to the clinical gastroenterology
market. Previously, John was President &
Chief Executive Officer of Alpine Biomed
Corporation, which he grew to become a global
leader in specialty diagnostic devices for the
clinical gastroenterology and neurology
markets. He subsequently led the company in
merging its gastroenterology division with Sierra
Scientific, and divesting its neurodiagnostic
division to Natus Medical.

Prior to Alpine Biomed,
John was a founding Officer with Hospira, where he
played an instrumental role in establishing the
company as a $3.5 billion leader in specialty
pharmaceutical and medication delivery
products. Before spearheading global
commercial operations for Hospira, John was a
Corporate Officer with Abbott and held a number of
senior domestic and international positions
including overseeing the company's commercial
operations for its hospital products division and
European operations for the International division.
Earlier in his career, John held management
positions with Wellcome Diagnostics and the
National Health Service in the United
Kingdom.

John is a fellow of the
Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences and
received his degree in medical laboratory sciences
from Caledonian University in Glasgow.
