Medical Specialties Distributors, LLC. (“MSD,” “We” “Our”) owns and operates the website www.msdonline.com (the Site). The Site together with the data collection, storage, functions and services that are provided at the Site are collectively referred to as the Service.
Information Collection and Use — Choice and Consent
Registration and Use of the Site
Visitors wishing to simply browse the Site are not required to register on the Site. We will not collect Personal Data from Visitors to the Site.
You may correct, update or review Personal Data you have submitted by emailing us at email@example.com or contact Customer Service. If you have registered and no longer want MSD to use your Personal Data, you should delete your information as described in this Policy.
MSD collects and uses Personal Data you provide to:
- administer your account and provide customer service;
- create user profiles;
- provide you with access to the Site;
- communicate with you, as applicable;
- reply to your request for information or comments;
- provide information about MSD's related products and services;
You may withdraw your consent to further use of your Personal Data by emailing a request to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond to your request in accordance with the law that applies to you. Your Personal Data which we processed prior to your request may not be deleted from our Site system records but will be blocked from further processing without your permission. A request to withdraw consent may not apply to information collected by tracking technologies or used internally to recognize you and/or facilitate your visits to the Site, or information we may keep to comply with legal requirements. Any such requests that relate to PHI or similarly protected health information will be addressed consistent with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rules and other applicable laws.

Similarly, we may use covered health and medical information as permitted by HIPAA and applicable state law.

We will retain Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide our services. We will also retain and use Personal Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

MSD does not rent, sell, or share your Personal Data with other individuals or nonaffiliated companies for purposes not related to the Services provided except to share, disclose or transfer your Personal Data when we have your authorization to share such information. We may disclose your Personal Data and non-personal data to third party vendors who help us operate the Site. These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your Personal Data consistent with the terms of this Policy and to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

MSD is not responsible for and will not be a party to any transactions between you and a third party provider of products, information or services. MSD does not monitor such transactions or ensure the confidentiality of your Personal Data, including credit card information, for any third party transaction. Additional or different terms and conditions (including without limitation, privacy and security practices) apply when you access and use third party applications, devices, platforms and websites, which are not the responsibility of MSD. Any communications made, separate charges or obligations you incur in your dealings with these third parties linked to MSD’s Site are solely your responsibility.
Our Site is intended for users who are over age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, then you are prohibited from registering, accessing, and using the Site without the express consent of your parent/guardian. If we become aware that a person under 13 has registered with our Site, we will take steps to terminate such account, access and use of the Site. If we become aware that a person under 13 has provided Personal Data to the Site without consent of a parent/guardian, MSD will take steps to remove such Personal Data. Your California Privacy Rights; California Do Not Track Disclosures
If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the "Shine the Light" law) permits you to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the Personal Data (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of Personal Data that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year. Accessing Your Information

You may reset your password through the site by following the password reset instructions. You can help us maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying us of any changes to your Personal Data by email to [insert email address] so we can alert your Clinician so he or she can make the necessary changes.
MSD commits to resolving complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your Personal Data. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated or you disagree with any action MSD has taken with regard to your Personal Data you may file a complaint with MSD by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you feel MSD has violated your health information privacy rights, you may also file a complaint under HIPAA with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
